Engineering design for VCM/PVC plants

QPEC completed the engineering design for the revamping of 230,000T/Y VCM Plant and 234,000T/Y PVC Plant, the additional 370,000T/Y VCM Plant in Qilu Petrochemical Co. The nationalized development of Oxychlorination Reactor for VCM plant developed by us was awarded Science and Technology Progress Prize by SINOPEC.

The revamping of 230,000T/Y PVC Plant and Oxychlorination Unit of 234,000T/Y VCM Plant, and EDC Cracking Unit in Qilu Petrochemical Co adopted respectively PVC Slurry Treatment Know-how with Continuous Steam Stripping of Chisso Co. of Japan, Fluidized Bed Oxychlorination Know-how with Oxygen of Hostwood Co. of Germany and Know-how of Mitsui Chemical Co from Japan. The commissioning for these plants was made successful only by one shot in 2000. Qilu 400,000T/Y VCM Plant applied Know-how of West Chemical Co./Washington Group Co (USA), The project started its construction in June 2004, and was put into operation in Oct.2004, which rendered a processing capacity of 630,000T/Y of chlorine and caustic soda for Qilu Petrochemical Co., and Qilu Petrochemical Co. has become the biggest production base for chlorine and caustic soda in China. This project was awarded the excellent Prize by SINOPEC.
